| I have a sort of Love-hate relationship with this Castle, every time i come here, the weather is very bad. Count Floris V builds this Castle in 1280 at the river the Vecht. In 1296 Floris V gets captured and the Castle probably destroyed.
In 1373 the Muiderslot is re-build and made bigger. Castle Muiderslot is famous because of the poet P.C Hooft ( 1581-1647). Prizes: Adults: 7 euro. Kids(4-12): 5 euro, Museumyearcard: Free. Open: April till October,Monday till Friday: 10.00-17.00 hour, Zaterday, Sunday : 13.00-17.00hour. November till March: Only Saturdays and Sundays: 13.00-16.00 hour.
From April till october there is a Bird of Prey show (very nice!):Monday till Friday: 11.00-16.00 hour and Saturday and sunday: 13.00-17.00 hour. Check the Muiderslot site if this is still correct!
