| This is my page with pictures of the Louvre and the sights in the direct neighborhood. The Louvre is a huge museum of almost 60.000m2! The first stone was by the way placed in 1190 ac. Almost all Kings and Emporers added, in whatever way, something to the Louvre. The glass pyramid of the Chinese architect Leoh Ming Pei was openend in 1989. In the direct neighborhood of the Louvre you can find the Arc du carrousel and the big park behind it.
