| This is my page with pictures of the Champs Elysees and the sights in the direct neighbourhood. In 1806 they started with the 50 meters high Arch, but because of the downfall of Napoleon it was finished only just in 1836. The Arch is now freguently used at public evenements and parades. The Place de la Concorde is one of the most beautiful squares of Paris, and was build in 1753. From this square you have a very nice view on the Champs Elysees.
