Castle Schaloen Castle Schaloen

Castle Schaloen is surrounded by canals and was first mentioned in 1375. In 1656 it was destroyed in the Spanish-Dutch war, and rebuilded. In 1894 there has been a restoration in neogotic style. The castle is a hotel these days, so no tours in the castle, you can walk around it though. Adress: Oud-valkenburg 5,6305AA in Oud valkenburg. Tel: 043-4077400.
