Today the castle is a beautiful ruïne. The castle is from the 12 th century and lies in the city Batenburg. Castle Batenburg was one of the most important and oldest castles of the province Gelderland. In 1794 the castle was almost completely destroyed by the France. Adress: onknown, but easy to find by all the signs in the cities. Visiting with a group of people (tour, need an appointment): € 1,50 a person with a minimum of € 30,00 a group. Open: April till November every first Sunday of the Month between 12.00 and 17.00. Individuals with tour call (0487) 531976, € 2,50 a person.
